Welcome to Sacred Heart School! Each new year brings new personalities, new programs and new excitement. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us!
Focusing on our school's mission statement and service to others will mold our students into the likeness of Jesus. Our weekly masses and prayer services, as well as the integration of Gospel values, will develop the spirituality of all present. Even our interactions in the lunchroom and the playground offer opportunities to problem solve and forgive. Christ is everywhere!
The student council will continue to share new ideas and lead events for the betterment of the school and for our community. What a great way to build leadership skills in students!
Curriculum improvements are never-ending. While the instruction of Social Studies is taking on a new philosophy, teachers are learning new ways of making every lesson engaging and meaningful.
Open communication is a key component of a successful school year. The School Messaging system, one-on-one conversations, emails, and regular parent newsletters will aid in this communication. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone (563-652-3743) or by e-mail if you ever have a question, a concern, or an idea to share.
The Sacred Heart Association of Family & Faculty (SHAFF) is gearing up for another year as well. Pizza sales, a presentation from the Mississippi River Museum, and a family dance will add to social and financial successes of the year.
Come and join us for our weekly liturgies at 9:00 a.m. on Fridays or our weekly prayer services on Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium. There is nothing more God-centered than gathering with a large group of children for prayer. This is what we're about!
If you're interested in joining the children for lunch or would like a tour of the school, please contact our school office (563-652-3743). We welcome your visit.
I look forward to a terrific school year. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Sincerely,
Principal
