The mission at Sacred Heart Childcare is to provide the highest quality childcare in a God-centered, caring, and educational environment.
Meet Our Staff
The staff of Sacred Heart Childcare is willing to work with parents in developing independent and responsible children. All are trained in pediatric first aid and CPR and participate in conferences and other trainings throughout the year.
Community-Based Experiences
At times, especially during the summer months, Sacred Heart Childcare will schedule trips out into the community. These experiences include:
Swimming at the YMCA
Bowling at Timber Lanes
Playing at 5th Ward Park
Fishing at Hurstville Interpretive Center
Cooking at Happy Joe’s
Visiting residents at care facilities
Attending story hour at the public library
Enrollment
To be eligible for admittance to the childcare program, the child must be at least three years of age. It is recommended that the child also be toilet-trained. Other requirements include:
1. Registration, emergency contact, and health forms
2. Immunization card
3. $25 registration fee
Hours of Operation
The center is open from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. except for Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Hourly Fees
To ensure that our childcare center is properly staffed, an anticipated childcare schedule is to be completed every week. All families are billed $2.75 an hour per child. Childcare Assistance payments are accepted.
